Guest CoHost: Kacey Cardin is a Life, Leadership, & Business Coach, as well as a Creative Multipreneur. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, the University of Tennessee, and Accomplishment Coaching, she has a private coaching practice, while serving as a Mentor Coach with Accomplishment Coaching and traveling the globe as a singer/actor and writer/producer.

Guest 1: Ellen Van Oosten, PhD is the Director of the Coaching Research Lab at the Weatherhead School of Management. Ellen joined the Weatherhead School of Management in 1995 and held numerous staff positions in executive education including Assistant Dean for Executive Education, Managing Director of Custom Programs and Senior Director of Business Development before joining the faculty in 2013. Her faculty roles include Assistant Professor, Organizational Behavior, Faculty Director, Executive Education and Director of the Coaching Research Lab, a research collaborative between organizational behavior faculty and industry.

Dr. Van Oosten has spent the last 20 years helping organizations develop their leadership capability. In her coaching practice, she has worked with a diverse group of managers and executives in the U.S. and abroad, including many from Sherwin Williams, Fifth Third Bank, Scottish Enterprises, and Barnes Group as well as numerous participants enrolled in the Weatherhead School’s executive education programs.

As an instructor, she teaches in the Executive MBA, MBA, Law and Masters of Engineering Management Programs at Case and regularly delivers non-degree workshops in coaching, emotional intelligence, leadership vision and leadership assessment and development to managers and executives.

As a researcher, Dr. Van Oosten’s interests include executive coaching, leader development, emotional intelligence and developmental relationships at work. She has authored several articles on the subject of coaching and emotional intelligence and frequently presents at academic conferences.
